an ice breaker

Stage performing is not simply about performing. For me, it’s a way of expressing your emotions for you to be able to feel more the lines that you deliver. Performing on stage is somehow like acting (being actors and actresses); because once a person performed he/she must be aware on his/her facial expressions and movements while on play. Performers should not let their fears and anxious come first, for the reason that it might ruin their performance.
Last Saturday, June 29, BUTAG (Baliuag University Theater Arts Group) conducted a preliminary audition for those who have the nerve to be one of their members. The audition was an ice breaker because you can feel that the contestants were so nervous while waiting for their time to perform. Unexpectedly, I must say so; I am one of the performers. I am proud to say that there are a lot of drama princes and princesses in Baliuag University which are suit to be a member of the theater group. I have seen different performance from the contestants. There are those who sang, there are some who did dancing, while others dramatize a story in their own way. My favorite performances are those who did multi-tasking, they manage to sing, dance and act in one. To be more surprise, no one would tell that the contestants were not prepared for that audition. In my part, I did a simply declamation and I performed my favorite piece since I was in second year high school.
Being an AB Communication, it is a need or I must say it is a requirement to join a theater group since it would be an opportunity to enhance my talent, a big help to be braver enough to face the people and to boost my self-confident, and it would be a stepping stone for I wanted to be a part of the PETA (Phil. Educational Theater Association).
